Chelsea ‘tried to sign’ City starlet in January – but were turned away

Allegedly, Chelsea tried to sign a very affected Starlet in Manchester City in January, only for their claims to be properly rejected.

The blues only made the only acquisition during the winter window when Mathis Amougou arrived from St. Etienne for a fee of £ 12.5 million, which resulted in further coverage in midfield.

City has already felt that one of their top friendliness left to Stamford Bridge, where Palmer settled at the top of the Premier League goal list since he moved to Chelsea in 2023.

As such, the citizens do not want to make the same mistake again and they were unambiguously in their response to the progress of Chelsea – something David Ornstein has praised as the best things in the city.

“Chelsea tried to sign him and do a Cole Palmer Mark Two, but City managed to hold him in, and you will remember this if he will be fine.”

City was one of the more active Premier League clubs during the winter transfer window, £ 170 million splashed to land Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov, Vian Reis and Nico Gonzalez before last Monday's deadline.

Guardiola has since continued to repeat the dedication of the city to use their youthful stars while the club is preparing for a full of second half of the season.
