The blues will compete again in the Champions League next season after being fourth in the Premier League and are in conversation to sign the French International who would compete for the number one place under manager Enzo Maresca. Maignan would be available for around £ 25 million if he enters the last year of his contract with AC Milan, but reports state that the blues find that price unacceptable.

Journalist Ben Jacobs has issued his last statement about the situation and suggested that Maignan would be a huge help for the upcoming Club World Cup, which starts in just a few weeks, giving the transfer a light deadline.
