Chelsea is still on the market for new signing sessions and the blues can soon dive for an Ajax defender who has been on the radar of both Arsenal and Liverpool for the past 12 months
Chelsea is supposed to consider a movement for Jorrel Hato, the highly appreciated Ajax defender who has previously been interesting for both Arsenal and Liverpool.
The blues are looking for more quality improvements prior to the new Premier League campaign and have considerably stimulated their treasury by their companies at the World Cup club, which has delivered them an estimated £ 97 million.
Deals for Liam Delap and Joao Pedro means that Enzo Maresca already has much more depth in the attack prior to the 2025-26 season.
And now it has emerged that Chelsea would like to strengthen at the other end of the field before the transfer window closes with a new defender on their summer wish list.
With that in mind, Football.London says that Hato, 19, is on the rise as a serious target for Chelsea, although they are not the only English team that admires the Dutch star.
Liverpool is known as large fans of the central defender, who can also work on the left. Arsenal was also previously credited with an interest in Hato, which is understood that it can be picked up for about £ 40 million this summer.
It is the versatility of Hato that Chelsea seems to appeal, whereby the report adds that they are without a natural left back to offer competition and support to Marc Cucurella.
That's because Ben Chilwell, Renato Veiga and Ishe Samuels-Smith are all expected to leave this summer with the last one in conversation about a move to the Blues sister club, Strasbourg.

Hato has made a big impression since the first team of Ajax breaks and, as set out above, is regularly linked to a switch to the Premier League.
The presence of the defender in Anfield for a league match between Liverpool and Ipswich Town in January, only the speculation fueled that the Ajax star was ready to exchange Amsterdam for Merseyside. But then it was explained that Hato was just in the game after he was invited by his friend, Ryan Gravenberch.
Hato spoke earlier about transfer speculation: “I read it all [the transfer rumours]. But I also know that not everything was right.
“For my development it is the best thing I am staying in Ajax. I was invited by Ryan Gravenberch. But I didn't speak with a director there. Liverpool played well and the atmosphere in the stadium was good, but there is no longer to say.”
