Chelsea will listen to offers for midfielders Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Carney Chukwuemeka.
Enzo Maresca is willing to let the fringe duo leave on loan in January, but their high wages will prove problematic. Any deal would require Chelsea to contribute a percentage of their wages to get them off the wage bill.
Just six months after his £30million departure, Leicester have expressed an interest in Dewsbury-Hall resigning next month. Dewsbury-Hall is largely assigned to play in the Europa Conference League and in the second tier.
Chukwuemeka, 21, could also leave with long-term admirers of Crystal Palace. He joined Stamford Bridge from Aston Villa as a teenager for a £20 million contract, but this season he is a bit player again.
Maresca has admitted that Dewsbury-Hall initially 'struggled to accept' not being a starter at Chelsea, telling the Daily Mail last month: 'Kiernan was the most important player at Leicester.
“He moved to Chelsea to become a different player. You have to accept that. At first you probably have difficulty accepting that. Now it's getting better. As a manager, I am undoubtedly very happy with Kiernan.”
“But for him he certainly has to keep working, wait for the opportunity and seize it, just like he does in the Conference League. He is doing well.”
Chukwuemeka almost left Chelsea this summer, with Maresca admitting a move from Stamford Bridge would have been “better” for him. “I will say exactly what I have said many times,” he told reporters earlier this year.
“Carney is a very good player, but given the number of players we have, we decided at the beginning of the season that it is probably better to leave and go somewhere, prove himself and play 30 or 35 games , than to be here and play fewer matches.” .
“Unfortunately that didn't happen. He's our player. He had a few minutes the other day, but today he wasn't there. Hopefully we can give him more minutes.”
