Chiesa to become Liverpool’s fifth-highest earner after shock transfer decision

Federico Chiesa has hardly played for Liverpool this season, but is still one of the highest earners of the club – and he is perhaps about to go higher on the Rich -List of Liverpool

If the surprising switch from Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid materializes, Federico Chiesa becomes the fifth highth desk in Liverpool. Although it is only clocked on the field for only 387 minutes since his transfer to Anfield this season, Chiesa, 27, becomes one of the best earners at the club.

The Italian Euro 2020 champion joined the Reds last summer and became the first acquisition of Arne Slot as a manager. Since his arrival, however, he has only managed 25 minutes of Premier League promotion.

Yet his weekly and annual income is that of a player who would usually be a regular starter at the top of the top. When Alexander-Arnold moves to the Bernebeu, he will rise higher the rich list of the Merseysiders. According to Spotrac, the salary of Chiesa is worth £ 150,000 a week, so that it is placed as the sixth highest earner in Anfield.

Only Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker and Andrew Robertson Pocket more than he did on the red half of Merseyside. However, if Alexander-Arnold moves to the Spanish capital, Chiesa will break into the top five highest earners.

The position of the Italian on the salary ladder could climb even higher like Salah and Van Dijk also decide to follow Alexander-Arnold by following the output door when their contracts end in the summer. Just like the Liverpool right back, Van Dijk and Salah also leave for a free transfer, unless the Reds succeed in binding them to new deals.

Salah has been candid with his position on the contract discussions and stated in November to the media that he is “probably more out” in Anfield. This came to Liverpool two times in a 3-2 victory to Southampton in a 3-2 victory.

Although the departure of Alexander-Arnold has not yet been deposited in stone, Sky Sports News claims that Real Madrid is in discussion with the player of the player. It is said that the first choice of Alexander-Arnold would be to sign with the side of Carlo Ancelotti, despite the fact that Liverpool has not yet been informed about any deal struck by the ruling Champions League winners.

The born and bred Liverpudlian has risen by the ranks in Liverpool, making his senior debut in a 2-1 triumph against Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup in 2016. Since then he has been an integral part of the success of the team and claims all possible trophy Jurgen Klopp and Slast.

Alexander-Arnold is currently out of action due to an injury that was sustained during the defeat of Liverpool's Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain. His injury led him to be out of the final loss of the League Cup for Newcastle United.

It also prevented him from connecting with England for the inaugural English team of Thomas Tuchel. This season, from his defensive position, Alexander-Arnold has gained three goals and seven assists about 39 performances.

Although his potential departure will be a blow to the club, fans of Liverpool are stimulated by the versions of Conor Bradley, which has appeared impressively when needed. The Northern Irish player in particular shone in the 2-0 home riomf against Real Madrid in the Champions League, where he played a key role in neutralizing the threat of Kylian Mbappe.
