Chris Sutton has named the Manchester United player Marcus Rashford should take inspiration from during the England international's torrid week at his boyhood club on It's All Kicking Off! podcast.
The 27-year-old was left out of the squad altogether for Sunday's Manchester derby against crosstown rivals City, and gave an impressive interview on Tuesday in which he spoke about his intentions to one day leave Old Trafford.
But while some suggest a move from January could help Rashford recapture his brilliant form, Sutton was keen to emphasize there were sources of inspiration closer to home that could help him regain his confidence on the pitch.
The expert and it all starts! co-presenter highlighted that this player was 'admirable' for 'breaking through' during a difficult moment, before emerging at the other end as a valuable player at Old Trafford.
Sutton's co-host Ian Ladyman agreed that he would 'love' to see him back at his best with the team he has played for for the past two decades.
