Chuck Liddell unleashed 20-punch barrage to win UFC legend vs legend fight

Chuck Liddell hit his biggest rival with a huge barrage of bumps in April 2004.

'The Iceman' is happy to be remembered as one of the best light heavyweight hunters in the MMA history.

Famous victories over Vorror Belfort, Alistair Overeem, Randy Couture and Wanderlei Silva helped the 55-year-old his Hall of Fame place to earn.

However, Chuck Liddell will always be remembered for his bitter three-fighter rivement with Tito Ortiz.

Chuck Liddell Ko'd Tito Ortiz with 20-punch barrage

Liddell and Ortiz came from recent losses for couture when they first fought at UFC 47.

A shot on slightly heavyweight gold seemed to be at stake for those who won their main event Matchup.

The first round was usually a feeling-out process that burst into life when the horn sounded to end him.

Ortiz pushed the referee out of the way to exchange angry words with Liddell before the rivals of 205 pounds returned to their respective corners.

When round two started, 'The Huntington Beach Bad Boy' was quickly made to pay for getting articulate.

Liddell fell against the fence and ended their fight for only 38 seconds in the second round.

Ortiz tried to hide as a combination of 20 punch came to fly on his way, but he was eventually eliminated by the man he would come across twice before their legendary MMA career was over.

Chuck Liddell calls his favorite current UFC hunter

Earlier this year, Liddell called an active UFC champion De Jager that he now likes best.

'I like it [Alex] Pereira, “said the MMA icon.

“I really like him, man, he is so relaxed, so calm – and he is a good guy.

“I like his attitude, and I like how he fights. He is a nice guy.”

A few weeks later Pereira lost his light heavyweight title when he fought with Magomed Ankalaev on UFC 313.

Dana White suggested that an immediate rematch will be the next during his press conference after the fight.

The UFC boss still has to make the official of Ankalaev vs Pereira 2, it is rumor that the fight will lead a pay-per-view event in August.

For now, Liddell will just have to wait and see if his favorite hunter gets his Rematch with Ankalaev.
