Clattenburg reveals bizarre reason for Klopp’s X-rated rant tells him to f***off

The relationship between a football manager and a referee is often a tense and former official Mark Clattenburg has revealed a tense and bizarre exchange that he once had with Jurgen Klopp.

The duo did not always see an eye to eye in the Premier League when Klopp was in Liverpool, but this incident dates from German times in England.

In fact, the pair changed polite features after Clattenburg had organized a Champions League -similar play during the spell of Klopp as Borussia Dortmund -Baas in April 2014.

As one of the most experienced referees in England, Clattenburg was given the task with the quarterfinals first stage of Dortmund in Real Madrid-Die then lost them 3-0.

Goals from Gareth Bale, Isco and Cristiano Ronaldo saw the Spanish Giants Cruise for an easy victory, but it was a post-match act by Clattenburg that deteriorated Klopp's mood.

About the last episode of the overlapping Fandebat, brought by Sky Bet, the ex -official revealed how a request from Real Left -Back Marcelo – who was injured at the time – caused a word war between himself and Klopp.

“I had a big run-in with Jurgen, but I was lucky because it was in Real Madrid, he was the Dortmund manager and they had just been beaten 3-0,” he reminded.

“I thought I had a good game. It was Marcelo, the full-back, crazy, but he says, “Can I have a photo?” I have something like: “What to me?” And he said, “Yes, can I have a photo?” Referees never get photos with players.

“I said,” Yes, of course. ” And I am outside my dressing room, and his wife was there and a part of his family – and Jurgen passed by, and he went: “F *** ING Hell. Is therefore defeated 3-0?”.

“I turned around and I said:” You are F ***** lucky that you are defeated 3-0, F *** Off “. Everyone laughed, but I was happy that I was in real Madrid and not Dortmund, because I should have come from Dortmund alive. '

That dialogue may have been shown as a motivation for Klopp in the return bone when Dortmund won 2-0 with a score that was not enough, because Real ruled a total of 3-2.

Eighteen months later Klopp joined Liverpool – who fill more regular run -ins with Clattenburg.
