Club shuts door on summer move for midfielder tracked by Barcelona, Milan and Juventus

Despite his problems with gambling in the game, which leads to a long suspension, there has never been any doubt about the talent of Sandro Tonali. The former husband of Brescia and Milan is in action less than a year ago, and there are already clubs that wonder if he can be taken from Newcastle United.

Barcelona has placed recent reports under those clubs, next to the Italian giants Juventus, and AC Milan, who look enthusiastic about a return for the 24-year-old. Allegedly they follow his progress and they are caught offside, even if they say that the Italian parties believe that he could be available for around € 60 million. However, Newcastle does not intend to let him go, and will try to block all attempts to sign him this summer.

Tonali has three years on his deal in St. James' park and in all likelihood wages above market value, so this seems difficult. Unless one of these clubs can convince Tonali to leave first, they may be able to use the financial Fair Play issues of Newcastle in a negotiation.

From the Perspective of Barcelona it would not be completely surprising if they follow Tonali as a potential option along the line, but every movement seems far away, despite an interest in him before he moved to Milan as a teenager. The Blaugrana are already tight against their salary limit in La Liga, and there is no certainty that they will set no more than more than the expenditure restrictions on every company that they pursue.

Moreover, they already have a strong stable from midfielders and a lot of competition for places, with people like Gavi and Fermin Lopez who are struggling for minutes. Although it is true that Tonali offers different attributes to one of the midfielders they currently have, it would be a big surprise if they made that a priority in the summer transfer window.
