The extensive FIFA Club World Cup takes place in 2025, with Manchester City and Chelsea – and Lionel Messi's Inter Miami – involved.

The New-Look Club World Cup will contain 32 teams and will be played every four years from the summer of 2025. It is an expansion of the previous version of the tournament, which took place every year and only concerned seven teams from all over the world.

From size to important data, the locations and the full competition schedule, here is everything you need to know about the FIFA Club World Cup.

When is the World Cup 2025 Club?

The club World Cup takes place for 29 days in the summer of 2025.

The tournament starts on June 15, with last place on July 13.

What is the prize money for the World Cup 2025 Club?

The winners of the club World Cup receive up to £ 97 million ($ 125 million) from FIFA.

Prize money of £ 774 million ($ 1 billion) must be shared between 32 clubs – with £ 406 million ($ 525 million) participation costs shared based on sporting and commercial criteria, and £ 368 million ($ 475 million) shared based on sports performance.

FIFA does not keep any income and it expects to share another £ 200 million ($ 250 million) with clubs around the world as solidarity payments.

Analysis: 'A lot of money for only seven games'

Sky Sports News Chief Reporter Kaveh Solhekol:

“It's a lot of money, because this is just all four weeks of work, it's just for seven games.

“If you win the FA Cup, the oldest domestic competition in world football, you will get through £ 3.9 million. But of course, winning the FA Cup, you don't want to win the FA Cup for money, you want to win it for the prestige.

“If you win the Premier League, it is worth around £ 176 million. The Champions League, the new format, is estimated that you could earn up to £ 135 million, if you win, but that is to play a maximum of 15 games, and the club world cup £ 97 million.”
