Chelsea may have found a solution for their current goalkeeper Dilemma prior to the summer transfer window, where Cole Palmer describes a rumor target as a future “World Class player”
Cole Palmer has already praised about Chelsea Transfer-White James Trafford by calling him a “Talent of World Class”. The blues have had to deal with instability in the goalkeeper position for a number of years.
This season, Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen fought it for the number 1 place of Enzo Maresca. However, neither goalkeepers were convincing, where both vulnerabilities show, despite the fact that Sanchez was signed from Brighton in August 2023 for £ 25 million and Filip Jorgensen was brought in from Villarreal in a £ 20.7 million only last summer.
Chelsea has three other shot toppers in their books Djordje Petrovic, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Mike Penders-Die all on loan this season.
The hierarchy of the West London Club is supposed to plan an assessment of their goalkeeper situation at the end of the season prior to the summer transfer window.
But the sun now reports that Chelsea Burnley's Trafford has already considered a feasible option after the 22-year-old helped his side promotion to the Premier League.
The report claims that Trafford is expected to leave Turf Moor after his key role in Burnley's Championship title Pursuit, with one more game to play.
It explains that Chelsea asked about the Englishman in the hope that they can reach an agreement with the Clarets, with Newcastle United also believed after his signature, who had missed a year ago.
The highly appreciated keeper has played 44 games in the championship, where 29 clean sheets are held while surprisingly administering only 15 goals. And he has already received approval by none other than Chelsea Talisman Palmer.
Palmer knows Trafford well from their time together in the Manchester City Academy. They also won silverware together, both of which can be seen on the U21S side of England, which won the European Championship in July 2023.
Palmer spoke glowing about Trafford after his last fine to win the tournament: “Wow. He is so good. You could see it in the academy. Even in the training he is so difficult to score by.
“I am just happy that everyone sees it … He just goes alone because of his business. I always tell him-even when we were small-that he becomes world-class.”
And now they can once again join forces if Chelsea succeeds in transferring Newcastle for the goalkeeper of £ 30 million, whose contract ends in the summer of 2027.
