Como unveil new stadium plans as 10,584-seater lakeside ground gets makeover

The Italian side Como from Cesc Fabregas has unveiled wonderful new plans to redevelop their Lakeside stage.

The Giuseppe Sinigaglia stadio is considered by many to be the most picturesque Arena in European football.

Located by Lake Como, it has a breathtaking view for both home and road supporters.

And with Como that now plays in the Serie A, there are plans to make one of the best stadiums.

The Minnows are managed by none other than Arsenal and Chelsea Icon Fabregas.

They are 15th in the table, two points above the relegation zone.

And after he was promoted from the B last season, Como has already seen the capacity of their stadium from 7,798 seats to 10,584.

Now the club has confirmed a long -term process to further redevelop their home field.

The three-phase plan was set to take shape in May 2026, with the first construction phase in October 2027.

A second phase will continue until August 2028.

And the project, which does not yet specify how many more seats will be added, will be a “gift for the entire community” because it seems to stimulate the environment.

Como President Mirwan Suwarso said: “Our goal is to ensure that Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia remains an essential part of the community.

“The new project must honor the Legacy of Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium, while it is an active and accessible space for all citizens and visitors – not only for football, but for everyone to enjoy, 365 days a year.”

Alessandro Rapinese, the mayor of Como, added: “This is the first phase of the process.

“This stadium is not only for football, but a gift for the entire community.

“I look forward to the different phases and to enjoy como games in the new stadium.”
