AC Milan is currently ignoring their weekend derby against City Rivals Inter because they focus entirely on securing a place in the Champions League round of 16 according to Sergio Conukicao.
Milan is sixth in the Champions League table, knowing a victory away to Dinamo Zagreb In their last game on Wednesday, she would completely bypass the knockout round.
They are now seventh in the Serie A and they train second with 16 points. But despite the need to tackle inland, Conceicao says that he only thinks about it after the game.
“I think Game-by-Game, I don't make any calculations two games at the same time,” he said a press conference.
“We have to concentrate on tomorrow, which will be important and difficult to reach the second goal.
“The first goal was to win the Super Cup and we did well, the second goal is to finish in the Top Eight in the Champions League.
“We are focused on this competition, we will think of the derby on Thursday on the plane that returns home.”

Milan defeated Inter in the Italian Super Cup final at the beginning of January and beat them 3-2 in the second match of Conukicao. He says that talking about winning the Champions League is also premature and needs to be tempered.
“There are still many games about it, the goal is to finish in the top four [in Serie A]”Said Conuuicao.
“We don't think of the derby, let alone the final phase of the Champions League. Looking ahead we don't see the stairs in front of us and we risk stumbling.”
In the meantime, Dinamo Zagreb has to beat Milan to have the chance to make the play-off round. They are currently two places below where they should be, with 24th behind at two points.
