Sergio Conukicao greeted the fans of Udinese for their “incredible” support from Mike Maignan, which was stretched during the 4-0 victory of AC Milan in Bluenergy Stadium on Friday.
The Rossoneri goalkeeper was involved in a nauseating collision of heads with teammate Alex Jimenez in the 51st minute.
Maignan, who was briefly unconscious, left the field on a stretcher before being taken to the hospital for further assessment.
And Conuuicao was grateful for the reception that his captain received from the home fans while he was cared for and was then taken out of the field.
“It impressed me. The player on the floor, the chaos around him. I have to compliment the Udinese fans,” the Milanbaas told Sky Sport.
“The player is one thing, and the man is another. They can do the player Boo, but not the man. That applause was an incredible gesture. In 40 years I have seen few gestures.”

Milan ended a point of three games without victory and recorded their first clean sheet in 10 games in all competitions.
Rafael Leao and Strahinja Pavlovic struck just before half -time, while Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders were also in goal after the break when the Rossoneri moved from the top four within six points.
But with the third placed atalanta that will descend on San Siro next weekend, Conceicao does not look too far ahead in the search on his side to secure European football next season.
“Today we were a team, but they are only three points,” he said. “Now we immediately think of Atalanta.
“In any case, I saw a solid and balanced team, as well as physically available. There was time to work on it. It was important to have two to three weeks to work [during the international break]. “
“We are thinking about working tomorrow, we don't have to talk too much. In the end we are the results of every day [of training]The rest comes into play. “
