Conceicao says fan protests putting pressure on Milan

Sergio Conukicao believes that the pressure of fan protests will get his AC Milan players, after their bad shape had continued with the 2-1 Serie A home defeat on Sunday against Lazio.

The hosts, who have a third consecutive defeat in the Serie A members, have endured a hostile atmosphere of their own fans, who protested against the owners of the club with the Curva Sud position that was empty for the first 15 minutes.

“We discussed the atmosphere and this is the first time I have experienced this in my career. Errors weigh heavier under such circumstances,” Confeicao told Dazn.

“I was a player, I know that when it is, your boots feel like they burn. When a dribble or a pass does not work or you are behind you, it burns even more.”

Things deteriorated when Mattia ZaCcagni Lazio posted ahead in the first half, and while Samuel Chukwueze hit a Late Equalizer after a Strahinja Pavlovic Red Card, Pedro yielded a penalty for visitors in the 98th minute after Mike Maignan's fault on Gustav Isaksen.

“It's not a simple moment. The players feel the tension around the club. The only way ahead is to work hard, to be proud of our colors and strive to change the situation,” added the Rossoneri boss.

Milan is ninth in the rankings at 41 points, which were overtaken by Roma, who previously defeated 2-1 on Sunday with 2-1.

Lazio moved to fourth place at 50 points, one for Juventus, which is organizing Hellas Verona on Monday.
