'The Notorious' has had a difficult relationship with his home country despite his Irish pride for a while.
Whether he is throwing away BKFC Post, another hunter or invites Sabrina Carpenter to the Black Forge Inn, the social media activity of Conor McGregor always runs heads.
It is perhaps four years since 'The Mac' participated in the Octagon for the last time, but that did not prevent him from keeping track of performances or generating newspaper heads.
McGregor was even recently seen to give rackers to a teammate of his that he previously bumped heads with a political debate.
The same cannot be said for McGregor's relationship with Paul Hughes, which was proof of the former UFC champion camp, not necessarily tailored to his countrymen.

Conor McGregor is booed at Limp Bizkit Show in Dublin after being appointed on stage
During his rise by the UFC ranks to become the greatest star in the history of MMA, the relationship of Conor McGregor with the Irish fans was special.
Regardless of whether the octhoek traveled to Emerald Isle or not, 'the Tricolor' could be spread over the stands when 'The Notorious' was in action.
That relationship has not been the same love affair for some time as a recent video that was displayed.
With the Nu-metalicone Limp Bizkit that brought their 'Loserville' tour to the 3arena in Dublin on 11 March, McGregor announced via Instagram that he would be present for the show.
When singer Fred Durst McGregor mentioned during the show, the reaction was a very different scene than the iconic welcome that he received in the same building in 2014 before his main event collision with Diego Brandao.
Durst may have expected that he will get a big doll from the Dublin -a lot, but a lot has changed in the past decade.

Conor McGregor is still incredibly passionate about Ireland
The social media activity of Conor McGregor shows that his decreasing relationship with the Irish fans is not out of negligence.
'The notorious' posts consistently on X in particular to talk about political and social issues in the country, but in turn he probably turns more former fans away than they get on board again.
This will not affect its worldwide status, but it is a sign of where his stock is now with some parts of Fight fans.
The old McGregor who could win in an instant fans with a traditional press conference or statement performance have not been seen for a while.
