Conor McGregor hails ‘magical’ moment as BKFC fighter proposes to fiancée after debut ends in KO

Conor McGregor was thrilled to see BKFC newcomer John Garbarino maximize his minutes in Philadelphia this week with an incredible run.

The hometown fighter got a rare opportunity Saturday night to compete at the city's famed Wells Fargo Arena in front of a record crowd. And from a viral weigh-in to a vicious knockout, he managed to make every second of his BKFC opportunity count.

He ended a great week with one of the greatest moments of his life; immediately after winning his victory, proposing to his long-time girlfriend in the ring. And McGregor was happy to see such a week happen for the Philadelphia native.

John Garbarino proposes to his girlfriend after a vicious KO win

After selling a majority of the tickets for BKFC's debut at the Wells Fargo Center, John Garbarino knew he had to make the most of his performance on the big stage. As an MMA veteran, he was well prepared for fight week and went viral when he offered Conor McGregor a canoli at Friday's weigh-in.

However, all of this meant he had to deliver in the ring, and he did just that with a stunning first-round knockout of Apostle Spencer in the closing seconds of the first round. Spencer tried to get up after falling to the floor, but the referee stopped the proceedings, much to the delight of the crowd.

And Garbarino made it even more special when he invited his longtime girlfriend to the ring to celebrate with him. After a short speech, he got down on one knee and proposed, and she said yes, creating another viral moment.
