Conor McGregor revives 11-year-old insult to take final swipe at Dustin Poirier in UFC 318 retirement message

Conor McGregor could not resist taking one last excavation at his old rival Dustin Poirier.

'Notorious' watched from home while his triple enemy retired from MMA on Saturday evening.

BMF Max Holloway postponed him in five rounds in a very entertaining UFC 318 Main event before he went aside to have 'the Diamond' put down his gloves for a crowd in the hometown.

Shortly thereafter, Conor McGregor went to social media with his thoughts about Dustin Poirier's last fight.

You may have missed McGregor's UFC 318 response, because it was quickly removed from his X account.

The Irishman was surprisingly nice about Poirier, despite sharing a bitter rivalry with him over the years.

McGregor, however, signed with the help of the 'PEA Head' insult that was first pronounced before he eliminated Poirier in 2014.

The former UFC champion with double weight tweeted: “We love a good scrap in the company and those two boys are exactly that! Scrappers!

Great stuff! Great fighting boys, Bravo!

“Ripea Head!”
