Conor McGregor tried to breathe new life into comeback interviews by sending a public message to the UFC.
'Notorious' has been sidelined since the suffering of a broken leg on UFC 264 in July 2021.
A return bolt against Michael Chandler was booked for UFC 303 in June 2024, but it was canceled when Conor McGregor suffered a broken toe in training.
Since then, UFC CEO Dana White did not seem to be sure whether the Irishman will ever return to MMA.

Conor McGregor drops large comeback hint
Talking about the return of Conor McGregor to Fighting has become strange in recent months.
The 36-year-old has hardly involved the sport that made him a famous multi-millionaire.
Everything changed when Dana White dropped a whole series of fighting news on Tuesday evening.
McGregor responded to Islam Makhachev and illuminated his UFC title with an 'exciting' message to White.
A day later, the former double weight champion seemed to let the ball roll on his comeback.
“@Danawhite @tkogrp call that big butt nurse,” wrote McGregor on his Instagram story.
He added: “Let's start this show with @ufc.”
Conor McGregor previously hinted at retirement
McGregor made a UFC pension edition in March after rejecting a fighting offer.
At that time 'Mystic Mac' was more interested in a political run than return to the UFC.
“I have two fights on the contract, I am in negotiations,” said McGregor at a BKFC press conference.
“Last week something happened to me, I went to the White House and my heart is now bleeding for my country.
“So there are many things going on, I am happy with what I have done. There is something else for me that is now in my feeling and that is a kind of where I am going.”
