Conor McGregor vs Logan Paul’s $500million fight faces stumbling block as YouTube star ‘dedicates his life’ to WWE

Logan Paul may have delivered the final blow in a fight with Conor McGregor last night when he declared he was done with 'side quests' and had committed to WWE.

Over the past month, McGregor has insisted he has made 'tentative agreements' for a fight with Paul, which will take place in India next year. He has even claimed that the pair will receive $250 million each from the mega-rich Ambani family for the fight.

But when he appeared at the premiere of WWE Raw on Netflix last night, Paul appeared to turn talk of another boxing fight on its head. He insisted he is now devoting himself full-time to wrestling, where he has made a name for himself over the past three years.

Conor McGregor continues to push Logan Paul into the fight

Last month, Conor McGregor claimed on social media that he was planning to face Logan Paul in an exhibition boxing match in India. He has since even posted alleged details of a wallet, even without much of a response from Paul.

“The rumors of a fight with [UFC featherweight champion Ilia] Topurio is fake,” he wrote. “I have made preliminary arrangements with the Ambani family to meet Logan Paul at a boxing exhibition in India. I agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”

He has also claimed that the fight will serve as a battle between stars of the two TKO Group brands WWE and UFC. “TKO group! UFC vs WWE,” he wrote in another message to Paul, a few days after the first tweet went viral.

“There are levels to this, a big sloppy novice will figure it out! TKO KING TITLE! #BiggestGenerator #KingofNumbers #Streams #PPV. I own every record and I'll be back to beat this novice and get more numbers for the company. #StockMarketIndia #MyHighestPayPacketYet #Thanksforthecheese.”

Logan Paul has remained quiet about Conor McGregor fight talks

For years, it seemed McGregor insisted on ignoring calls for a fight from Logan and his brother Jake Paul. But now it's the other way around as the Irishman is the one regularly commentating on the fight.

Aside from a few teases, older brother Paul has remained relatively quiet about a potential meeting with the UFC legend. He shared an emoji in response to McGregor's initial announcement, and after news of their future purses leaked, he showed off some training footage.

But aside from dropping a little McGregor-themed Easter Egg during a recent WWE press conference, he was uncharacteristically low-key with his words. He made no mention of the conversations during his “Year in Review” YouTube video, which showed his plans for 2025.

Logan Paul now insists he 'dedicates his life' to WWE, not boxing

As part of Raw's debut on Netflix, Paul was reintroduced to the audience during a pre-recorded segment in which he claimed that he was now fully committed to wrestling. He was then shown in the crowd, where he was loudly booed by the WWE faithful at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

“I get it, I'd hate me too,” Paul told fans in a signature heel promo during last night's episode of Raw. “I don't respect the process. I've never “stood in line” or “waited my turn,” but you know what should really keep you awake at night? I've been so good at this.

“And now? I dedicate my life to this, no more afterthoughts, no more bulls***. 100 percent WWE superstar. This is the beginning of the Logan Paul era.”
