Conor McGregor’s coach jokingly shut down Dana White’s hilarious pitch for a super fight at chaotic landmark UFC event

In the structure of UFC 200, which took place on this day in 2016, the involvement of Conor McGregor seemed like a guarantee.

In the same way in which Jon Jones have registered their interest in fighting during the UFC's event in the White House, UFC 200 attracted some of the biggest names in sport.

A map of this size would always be a huge night for the sport, where UFC 100 set a high bar thanks to the involvement of, among others, Georges St-Pierre and Brock Lesnar.

UFC 200 may have ended with a statement performance that would have an important place in the history of the sport, but it was not the type of blockbuster head event that tried to assemble the promotion.

Months before July 9, Dana White jokes came about drawing up a hunter who could be confronted with McGregor during the historical event.

Dana White joked that he would sign Spider-Man Street Fighter to prevent Conor McGregor at UFC 200

Speculation about which fight the Kop UFC 200 could start, long before the weeks prior to the event.

Because Conor McGregor was the biggest star in the history of the sport, it was very logical for 'the Notorious' to head the card, with a rematch against Nate Diaz who probably looks.

Dana White, however, had a different idea that he expressed a comical message on Twitter, now X.

Chances are that if you are a fan for a while, you've seen the video of an MMA fight that took place between three costumed hunters.

Spider-Man represented Marvel and decimated his DC rivals Batman and Robin in a bizarre two-on-one handicap match in which the web-garinger was a considerable skills advantage.

White joked that the popular hero could be your friendly UFC hunter of the neighborhood to face it with 'The Notorious' in a battle for the centuries at UFC 200.

Unfortunately, the pitch of the UFC CEO was not supported by McGregor's coach, John Kavanagh, who wrote in response that he would refuse against the best in New York.

The UFC could have done with a hero as a Spider-Man after the chaotic road to UFC 200

Although UFC 200 was still a strong PPV event for the promotion, it will be best reminded of the problems that it was confronted before July 9, finally arrived.

The rematch of Conor McGregor with Nate Diaz was expected to take place on the map until the Irishman was completely removed from the event after Dana White claimed that he refused to attend a press conference.

Jon Jones's rematch with Daniel Cormier was booked as the replacement, but this was also removed after 'Bones' was removed from the competition due to a potential violation of drug policy.

With just three days to adapt to this change, there was not much that the promotion could do to change the card, making Miesha Tate vs Amanda Nunes the main event.
