Conor McGregor’s famous KO replicated as fighter who ‘beat’ Jon Jones continues resurgence at UFC 314

The return from the Octagon to Miami had already produced some remarkable highlights and points of talks before the tent started.

There had been controversial moments, such as the victory of Dan Ige at Sean Woodson, many of whom believed they were ended prematurely, but there were also many positives.

The first few fights in particular saw a number of impressive finishes, even if a heavily criticized Scorecard was thrown into the mix after a split decision.

By the time the main map started, the Kaseya center was more than ready for some of the largest matchups of the year so far.

The action of the promotion on PPV was Dominick Reyes who had a roller coaster career since his controversial loss for Jones.

Joe Rogan compares the UFC 314 -victory of Dominick Reyes with Conor McGregor's iconic title profit

At UFC 247, many believed that Dominick Reyes deserved to get his hand against Jones to become the light heavyweight champion.

The challenger was undefeated on his way to the greatest fight of his career, but after the close defeat he suffered a rough form of form.

Losing three in a row through devastating knockout had asked many questions if 'The Devastator' would ever return to the top of the division.

After winning back-to-back victories, it seemed that Reyes had finally turned things around, but his UFC 314 collision with 205 pound dark horse Nikita Krylov would be a huge test for him.

Krylov had his moments in the fight early on, but the 35-year-old American left no doubt that he is good and really back after exploding a huge left hand that ended the fight in an instant.

With the way Reyes went back, the shot of his opponent pushed and caught him with a large left desk, Joe Rogan immediately made comparisons with one of the most iconic victories in the history of the sport that also happened in the first round.

The UFC commentator stated that the Knock -Out of Reyes reminded him of Conor McGregor's featherweight title profit on UFC 194, where he put Jose Aldo in just 13 seconds.

Dominick Reyes is only one win from a title shot

With his third consecutive victory and knockout, Dominick Reyes will be back in the top 10 next week at Light Heavyweight.

The former title Challenger is probably only one win from his second shot on the gold of 205 pounds after many people wondered if his career had reached an early end.

In his interview, Reyes said after the fight that he doesn't mind who is the next, as long as it gets a title shot afterwards and that several potential opponents leave behind.

The most obvious would be Carlos Ulberg, who might need a victory to achieve his shot after a fairly moderate match with Jan Bachowicz last month in London.
