One of the most loyal allies of Conor McGregor gives the former two -division champion its chances of beating Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Conor McGregor's Veine with UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov remains just as heated as always almost seven full years since their UFC 229 fight. Nurmagomedov served McGregor in the UFC 229 Headliner after weeks of bad blood cooked between the two parties.
Despite their heated rivalry, Nurmagomedov showed a rarity support for support for McGregor, while the latter shows his return to the Octagon in 2026. McGregor has not fought anymore since he injured his leg against Dustin Poirier on UFC 264.

Artem Lobov opens what went wrong for Conor McGregor against Khabib Nurmagomedov
In a recent performance on the Ariel Helwani show, McGregor's former teammate Artem Lobov hinted that his old teammate Nurmagomedov could lure back to the cage.
“I would like to see him come back because I feel that if he was 100 percent, we could also bring Khabib back,” Lobov said about McGregor.
“He would only need one fight, hit the man, and then the whole world will talk to Khabib and let him come back.”
Lobov then shared that McGregor Nurmagomedov did not seriously take UFC 229.
“I know that fighting opposite Conor is disturbed because he did not train at all for that fight,” Lobov explained. “He trained for Khabib twice a week. I tried to get him [Las Vegas] And said: “We have to do this,” and he said I had to do it, he just didn't want to do it.
“He was in the wrong mentality, the party mentality. Training twice a week and that's it. So when I saw the fight, I had something like” Oh my God, if you only trained four times a week, you would probably have defeated him. ”
“But imagine him in a complete camp and the Conor that fought against Eddie Alvarez. Imagine that Conor against Khabib. That is what I want to see.”
Nurmagomedov withdrew from MMA in 2020 after a victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. Despite the UFC who is said to be interested in booking a Rematch between Nurmagomedov and McGregor, Nurmagomedov remained firmly in his pension craft and did not look back.
McGregor focuses on a return to the Octagon next summer at the planned White House event of the UFC. He had to fight on UFC 303 last year before he withdrew because of injury.
Artem Lobov expanded an olive branch to Conor McGregor after annoying public feud
In anticipation of the planned comeback from McGregor, Lobov wants to play a role in his return to the cage.
In the interview mentioned above, Lobov begged at McGregor to return to full -time training at SBG Ireland, despite the two old teammates in the courtroom. Lobov returns to MMA later this year against the Understudy of Nurmagomedov, Zubira Tukhugov, during a PFL event in Dubai.
At the moment McGregor has not responded to Lobov's offers. Last summer, McGregor went on a wild social media tirade against Lobov since removed messages, which indicates an irreconcilable feud between the two teammates.
Lobov was one of McGregor's most important sparring partners for some of the greatest fighting in the Irish star, and they could possibly reunite as both parties are a successful return to MMA to MMA plotting.
