Real Madrid -midfielder Dani Ceballos is again confronted with a summer of uncertainty about his future. As usually the case, a return to real betis is discussed, but without major clarity about whether a movement is possible.
After playing for only 73 minutes at the club World Cup, Ceballos was concerned about his role under Xabi Alonso next season. While Carlo Ancelotti largely used him sparingly, the Italian manager always claimed to be a fan of him. Asked about his future on his return from the United States, Ceballos stated that he was 'open to everything'.
As has been the case in the past three summers, Ceballos has been associated with a return to former Club Real Betis. As was also the case last summer, the finances make a switch to Betis in serious doubts. Their asking price is € 20 million, and moreover Betis should find a way to fit his salary in their wage account.
Ceballos, 28, has two years left at his deal and still houses the hope of playing in the World Cup for Spain, for which regular football would be a necessity. Alonso would like to bring in a midfielder this summer, but if nobody arrives, the Basque manager can be in a similar situation this year such as Ancelotti. Real Madrid was forced to call Ceballos in some crucial matches, and the team is said to remain in the club for his handling of pressure.
