Antonio Conte has already secured the place in the Champions League in the Champions League and described the winning of another scudetto with Napoli as the “icing on the cake”.
League leaders Napoli have been in sublime form this season, although they slipped the previous time-out and were held to a 2-2 draw of Genoa, allowing the second place to be cut in the hole.
With 78 points in their name, they remain a point for the Inter with two more games, and there is a chance that the Serie A title can be decided by a play-off if the top two teams end up on points.
Napoli, however, holds their fate in its own hands and was able to win the title with a victory over Parma on Sunday, if Inter loses home to the fifth Lazio placed.
But they have struggled against newly promoted teams lately. After a clear start where they all won the home games against them, Napoli has earned only one point from two road races in the second half of the season – losing como and drawing with Venezia.
Speaking for Sunday's collision, Conte recognized a sense of responsibility to deliver the scudetto to Naples.
“I feel a lot of responsibility, maybe too much,” said the Italian in his press conference for the competition.
“However, I feel that I have a big weight on my shoulders.
“I have broad shoulders to deal with these situations, but I cannot deny that I have a great pressure that does not exist in other places.”
Three-time competition champions Napoli won the title in the 2022-23 season for the last time, although they had a medium 10th place in last season's campaign.
“We have already made a beautiful cake by returning to the Champions League,” Conte added.
“Let's put the icing on the cake now! We would create history and be remembered forever in Naples.
“We have already done a lot for the club and the city, but we must have the ambition to write ourselves in the memory.”
After even more decisive goals, Scott McTominay is one of the nominees for player of the month!

Napoli has indeed been one of the best performing parties in Italy this season. This season they only admitted 27 goals, the second lowest total in Europe's top five competitions, behind only Athletic Bilbao (26).
Moreover, they have held 17 clean sheets in the competition this season – more than any other side in the top five competitions. Only twice Napoli held more clean sheets in the Serie A at the end of a 20-team competition: in 2022-23 (18) and in 2017-18 (19).
Conte also said that midfielder Scott McTominay had picked up a knock during the training, although the Italian did not announce any details.
“Mctominay had a few problems during the week, but we will always find the solution, regardless of a group of boys who overcome important difficulties,” he said.
Mctominay enjoys a great campaign in Naples, with 11 goals and has given six assists in competition promotion this season.
The Scotland International is now only the second midfielder who has been involved in at least 15 goals in his first season in the Serie A in the last 20 campaigns, after Hernanes did this in 2010-11 with 16 target contributions.
