There is no longer any contact between Nuno Mendes (22) and Paris Saint-Germain about contract extension negotiations, according to RMC sports journalist Arthur Perrot, speaking on Twitch.
The talks between PSG and Mendes seemed to be heading for an agreement. The two sides had been in negotiations for several months and were nearing an end, but they came to an abrupt end due to interest from Manchester United, who have since submitted a proposal to the Portugal international, according to RMC Sport.
As transcribed by Canal Supporters, Perrot reports that contact between the player's entourage and PSG has been completely broken for the time being. His entourage is angry with the way the negotiations went and would therefore like to negotiate again. For now, PSG are unwilling to listen to those calls, although Perrot adds that there is hope the situation can be resolved.
Mendes, meanwhile, is open to a move to Old Trafford, with Manchester United in desperate need of a left-back who can fit into Ruben Amorim's system.
