“Convinced that he would leave” – Former Real Madrid scout weighs in on Vinicius Junior-Saudi Arabia debate

There has been a lot of speculation over the past six months about Vinicius Junior and his future as a Real Madrid player. Saudi Arabia worked hard to sign him over the summer, and although that didn't work out, it's believed their interest still remains.

Manolo Romero is someone who is well versed in Real Madrid and has acted as a scout for twenty years. According to Sport, he gave his opinion on the situation with Vinicius.

“I was convinced he would leave. If they come up with more than 300 million euros, I am convinced that Florentino will sell it, that he will even take it to the airport in his car. The point is that 300 million euros is a lot of money. I think Florentino's favorite will be Mbappé. He has been behind him for seven years.”

Real Madrid will be desperate to retain the services of Vinicius, and it looks like they will keep hold of him for a while longer as recent reports have stated that they will offer him a new contract at the end of the season.
