Coppa Italia glory ‘the quickest way to Europe’ for Milan, says Conceicao

Sergio Conukicao recognized the victory in the Coppa Italia “is the fastest way to Europe” for Milan, for their delicious semi -final confrontation with Rivals Inter.

The Rossoneri and the Nerazzurri go on Wednesday in the first stage of their last four collision on San Siro on Wednesday.

Competition can save to Milan, who are ninth in the Serie A – 20 points behind leaders Inter, and five drift from Roma in the last of the European qualifying places.

Concuyo admitted that his side had not been brought to expectations this period, but insisted on them to stay focused in the knowledge that silverware can turn their fortune.

“Milan is not used to this ranking, but there are still many games to go,” he told reporters during his press conference before the competition.

“I am not the happiest in the world because of the things I have experienced in recent months. I have been happy in some times, disappointed in much more. We have to improve, but it is not easy for everyone.

“We are aware that it is important for Europe. But let's not think about the other games. We know that this is the fastest way to Europe.

“I would certainly be satisfied for a trophy, but first you have to win against Inter and then the final. This is futurology. I like to win every day.”

Milan goes into the draw and has already defeated Simone Inzaghi's Inter this season, including a dramatic 3-2 victory in the final of the Supercoppa Italiana in January.

“They have been important games for us,” Conceicao added. “The situations are different, with different players on the field. We will see if we can play a good game tomorrow. Let's see what Inter can do.

“They are a very strong team with a solid competition and a coach that has been there for a long time.”
