Ruben Amorim received a “coward” because fans demanded that he was fired after the humiliating Carabao Cup output from Manchester United to Grimsby.
Man Utd had to fight back from 2-0 against the League Two Club only to force penalties to leave after a shootout of 18 minutes.
Amorim's under -performing flops were the second best during the game and even the deceased header of Harry Maguire could not save their blush.
But despite the gloomy display on the field, it was the actions of Amorim off with the supporters of Red Devils who removed from their seats in front of the television.
The Portuguese Gaffer – who is certainly under enormous pressure after another defeat – was first made ridiculous because he apparently experimented with new tactics on his tactic board when his team lagged 2-0 behind.
TV cameras caught Amorim who tinkered on his plate for more than an hour on his plate in the game with United Lifeless on the field.
Furious fans responded online, with one writing: “He must be fired before the bus even leaves the ground. That is unforgivable”.
A second fumed: “He plays tic-tac-toe mid game!”
And a third claimed that Amorim “pretended he looked busy”.
Even when United had hit his way back in the game, fans found thanks to a neat Bryan Mbeumo finish and a Maguire header another reason to be angry with their manager.

During the penalty shootout, fans saw that Amorim “hid” in the dugout while he seemed to sink back into his chair and avoid looking at the 18 -minute Slugfest.
A lively supporter wrote: “Sorry, but I don't want a manager who is too scared to view a penalty shootout against a competition two team. Sort it out or f *** off”.
While another placed: “Amorim hidden during this penalty shootout against a team of a fourth division is a shame”.
A third was posted: “A manager who can't even view his own team against an opponent of League Two. Get Ruben Amorim from my club.”
And a fourth even wrote: “Amorim can pack his bag. Couldn't even look at the penalties, coward.”
There is no doubt that the microscope on Amorim became even more intense after such a defeat.
The 40-year-old does not seem to have time anymore and will certainly have to get a result on Saturday when United host is Burnley in Old Trafford.
He has only won one of his last seven games in all competitions and currently has a profit percentage of just over 37 percent during his time the management of United.
Speaking after the defeat against Grimsby, Amorim hinted that his team is not playing for him.
He said: “Ultimately, it doesn't matter if we recover or not, it is the signs that the team gave during the game, the start of the game.
“I think the best team has won, the only team that was on the field.
“Losing the best players because one team can win against any group of players, and I think the team and the players spoke very loudly today, so that's it. We have lost, won the best team.”
Add: “I think it is really clear what they spoke, so let's continue from this day and I think it was clear to everyone what happened today.”
“The way we start the game without any intensity, all the idea of the pressure, we were completely lost and that's why I think they spoke very hard.”
