Cristiano Ronaldo responded to Rasmus Hojlund after the man United striker had copied his iconic celebration when he scored for Denmark in their 1-0 win over Portugal on Thursday.
Hojlund came from the bank to get the winning goal in the first stage of the quarterfinals, on his part of the UEFA Nations League, giving them an advantage of one goal in the second stage on Sunday.
After the 22-year-old had found the back of the net, he ran to the corner flag to celebrate with his teammates, before performing Ronaldos 'Siu' celebration, left with the Veteran Portugal star from the Center Circle.
On Thursday Hojlund insisted that he meant no lack of respect for Ronaldo and that he just copied his idol.
He said: 'It's for my idol. It's not like I'm mocking it or something. I have always said that he has a lot of importance for me and my football career. '
And Ronaldo apparently took light from Hojlund's actions, because he explained that he has no problem with United's No 9 who is doing his party.
The top goalscorer of football said: 'It's no problem for me. I know it was not out of lack of respect. It is not only he who does my celebration around the world.
'I am smart enough to understand that. For me it is an honor. I hope to do it for him tomorrow [on Sunday]. It will be good. I'm glad he likes my party. '
Hojlund had previously been open in his admiration for Ronaldo while growing up.
“Now I'm not going to exaggerate, but Cristiano is everything for me,” Hojlund said the Danish Outlet DR prior to Thursday's game.
'I fell in love with football because of Cristiano, I became a fan of Manchester United because of Cristiano.
“I started self-training because of Cristiano, I started doing push-ups and sit-ups every day before I went to bed because of Cristiano, because I wanted to be Cristiano.”
After he came to Man United in a £ 72 million movement in the summer of 2023, Hojlund revealed how his father wanted him to dispose of Ronaldo.
The DANE revealed the impact that Ronaldo had on his development, and quoted how his work ethics had contributed to his success.

The victory for the first would see Ronaldo lifting the third piece of silverware with his national team after he won Euro 2016 and the Nations League in his inaugural representation in 2019.
