The Portuguese striker, who turns 40 next month, appears to be on the verge of extending his contract with Al Nassr for one season, according to Saudi media.
Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly accepted Al Nassr's offer to extend his spell at the Riyadh-based club and is set to sign a multi-million euro extension with the Roshn Saudi League side.
According to information from the Saudi media outlet Al Khobar and the Portuguese O Jogo, Cristiano, who turns 40 in February, will extend his contract with the Riyadh club until June 2026 and will receive more than 200 million euros in return.
The Portuguese star arrived at Al Nassr in January 2023 and initially signed a contract until June 2025.
According to the Al Sharq News report, with data from Bloomberg and Forbes, Cristiano was already the highest-paid footballer in Saudi Arabia, with a salary of 200 million euros, plus another 60 million euros in image rights.
With this contract extension, Ronaldo remains the best-paid footballer in the world and will earn 3.8 million euros per month and more than half a million euros per day.
Cristiano's goalscoring performances were extraordinary at Al Nassr, with 75 goals in his 84 games in which he wore the famous yellow jersey. Titles were difficult to come by, however, as his arrival coincided with a period of extreme dominance by city rivals Al Hilal. The experienced striker has won just one title with the Saudi club after Al Nassr won the Arab Club Championship in 2023.
