Cristiano Ronaldo makes SHOCK career move as MU legend begins ‘new chapter’

Cristiano Ronaldo has announced a shock career movement that will see him start with a 'new chapter' away from the field.

Currently, trade for Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, Ronaldo, 40, opens a new business company as he enters the dusk of his match days.

As a result, he will work with filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, 54, the producer of Lock, Stock and two smoking barrels and the director of gangster films such as Snatch and Layer Cake.

The collaboration of Ronaldo and Vaughn will launch them a brand with the name UR Marv, an independent film studio that will focus on 'embracing innovative technology with a nod to tradition'.

A statement on the official Ronaldo account on X, formerly Twitter, said: 'Cristiano Ronaldo loves films; Matthew Vaughn loves sports – and they both love a good story.

“Both have been disruptive champions in their game and will now tell the world of sport and stories through the launch of UR Marv, an independent joint venture film studio that embraces innovative technology, with a nod to tradition.”

Ronaldo added: “This is an exciting chapter for me, while I look ahead to new businesses in business.”

Vaughan also stated: “Cristiano has made stories on the field that I could never have written, and I am looking forward to making inspiring films with him – he is a real superhero.”

It is far from the first company that Ronaldo explored outside of football, because he is also the owner of his own hotel chain in addition to a line of perfumes and a clothing brand.

Ronaldo went in 2015 with the Madeira -based Pestana Group, who is owned by millionaire Dionisio Pestana and founded by his father Manuel.

The tourism and leisure group also had a series of hotels in Portugal, but joined forces with Ronaldo in a 50/50 partnership to open a chain under his CR7 brand.

So far, five have been founded with Lisbon and Funchal, the two Portuguese locations of CR7 hotels, while the chain also contains a hotel on Times Square in New York, as well as Madrid and Marrakech.

“The first Pestana CR7 had to be in Funchal – my city that is also considered the best island by the World Travel Awards,” said Ronaldo during the 2016 unveiling of his first hotel.

'It's a great pride for me – the opening of this my first hotel. It marks my entrance in a completely new area. This new project will be a huge success in the four corners of the world. '

It is not surprising that the boutique hotels have promised luxury, whereby the Funchal Hotel claims that the guests will enjoy the lifestyle they deserve.

The hotel has a pink-colored infinite swimming pool, gym, sauna and bilbad outside, while guests have free access to the Cristiano Ronaldo Museum.

Ronaldo is also claimed to have designed training sessions in the open air gym of the hotel.

It is not surprising that sport is invoiced as an important theme of each of the CR7 hotels, while the rooms in the New York location are influenced by the colors and art of Portugal.
