Cristiano Ronaldo misses Al-Nassr match in Iran due to risk of 99 lashes

Al-Nassr star and Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the star attractions in the Asian Champions League, but fans in Iran will miss the Portuguese icon. He has been omitted from their journey to Tehran with a risk that the Iranian law may infringe.

The Saudi Arab giants traveled away to be confronted with Esteghlal and with them pulled 0-0 in the first stage of their round of 16 draw, but did without Cristiano Ronaldo. According to Cadena Cope, it comes down to an incident dating from 2023.

Ronaldo, 40, was traveling with Al-Nassr to combat Persopolis to the large praise of the locals. In the hotel where the team was staying, a meeting was organized with the popular Iranian artist Fatemeh Hamami Nasrabadi. Hamami, which is specially competent, uses her feet to paint footballers and has become viral on social media and has 241,000 followers on Instagram for her talent.

During the meeting, Ronaldo Hamami sees and kiss her head, which can be considered adultery in Iran. The punishment to fit the crime in Iran is 99 eyelashes with a whip and the risk of such a lot, Ronaldo was apologized for the first stage. He gets the chance to leave his mark in the return bone next Monday, when Esteghlal goes to Riyad.

Saudi Aarabia has facilitated their own limitations, or at least closed an eye to Ronaldo's relationships themselves. The Kingdom does not allow men to live with women they were not married to, and when Ronaldo moved to Al-Nassr, he and partner Georgina Rodriguez have installed himself in a home with their children. However, the couple is not married and in theory Ronaldo breaks the Saudi legislation, but it seems that he has received special dispensation.
