Crystal Palace 1-2 Everton: Moyes’ men build on derby draw

Carlos Alcaraz registered a goal and an assist when Everton ended a memorable week with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in Selhurst Park.

After Everton has earned a 2-2 draw with Liverpool via James Tarkowski's 98th minute Stunner, Everton arrived in a floating mood in South London.

Beto placed them somewhat against the game late in the first half, closing home after Alcaraz had beaten a carefree slaughter of Tyrick Mitchell.

That goal came after Palace had missed several good chances and a Jefferson Lerma header had not seen, with the linesman and the vary that had curled the corner of Justin Devenny from the game.

With his 11th Premier League goal of the season, Jean-Philippe Mateta brought in early in the second half and stroked in the right corner after Marc Guehi threw a loose ball in his path.

But with the stretching of the game it was Everton that landed the meaningful blow. Ashley Young's Volley was blocked by Will Hughes and Alcaraz was in the right place to slot the rebound house.

The David Moyes team climbs one place in the table to the 13th, with 30 points. They are right with the 12th placed palace, whose goal difference is only a better one.

Data Debrief: The Moyes-IH works its magic

Since the first match of Moyes the leading over Everton, they have taken 13 points from Six Premier League matches (four wins, one draw, one defeat).

No team in the Premier League has improved the Toffees' Tally during that period.

Perhaps the most impressive performance of Moyes was injured Everton, even with Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Beto now has four goals in five Premier League matches among Moyes, so many if he succeeded in his 42 such performances among former boss Sean Dyche.
