Crystal Palace braced for Guehi bid from Liverpool after identifying replacement

Crystal Palace Captain Marc Guehi is confronted by a series of Top Premier League clubs, but Liverpool is now in the steering accumulation to land the 24-year-old English international

Crystal Palace expects Liverpool to make a formal offer for Marc Guehi, while conversations continue with sporty CP about a potential deal for his replacement, Ousmane Diomande. Guehi is quickly approaching the last year of his contract in Selhurst Park and the Eagles are ready to cash in to cash in last month's historic FA Cup triumph to prevent him from losing it on a free transfer in 2026.

Liverpool is not the only side interested in the 24-year-old, but the Premier League champions of Arne Slot are now emerging as clear favorites to land Guehi, while Palace also increases their pursuit of Ivory Coast International Diomande.

The very bound 21-year-old is supposed to have a release clause of £ 68 million written in his sporting deal and although Palace is not prepared to put that type of money on the table, they are willing to break their club record to land the talented center back.

They have already made progress on personal conditions, Diomande is open to the move and Palace has good relationships with the roof of the player, who also represent left-wing-back Tyrick Mitchell.

Oliver Glasner has personally approved a blow to Diomande, because there is trust that he has a great potential and is crucial that he can play in several roles within the three-man defending line of the Austrian.

Newcastle, who has been trying Guehi for a long time, also belong to the admirers of Diomande and the former Sterret of Ruben Amorim has also been connected to Manchester United in the last 12 months.

Now Palace is working on an agreement and although club-to-club discussions have now taken place, there is still a remarkable gap in the appreciation between the parties at the moment.

The sale of Guehi would undoubtedly strengthen the purchasing power of the Eagles, although Liverpool has already indicated that they would be willing to wait 12 months to get their husband free, if necessary.

The Three Lions defender is also interested in Arsenal and former Club Chelsea, but Liverpool is expected to perform their striving for the player, while Jarrell Quansah almost comes to German club Bayer Leverkusen in a £ 35 million deal. The agreement is now in the last phases and is expected to be worth £ 30 million in advance plus £ 5 million in bonuses.

Slot would like to strengthen his defensive options and Liverpool had also looked at Dean Huijsen before the Spaniard chose to join Real Madrid in a £ 50 million movement.

Ibrahima Konate has also been set up to enter the last 12 months of his contract next month and although further discussions about new conditions are expected, there is a great chance that he could close his Anfield deal in the midst of interest from Los Blancos.

The Reds are on track to announce the £ 116.5 million British record signing of Florian Wirtz, who is in the northwest for his medical tests, and Bournemouth Left-back Milos Kerkez is also ready to follow the example.
