Marc Cucurella wiped tears away when he unveiled the emotional tension of his son's autism.
Cucurella and partner Claudia Rodriguez opened in series Two by Amazon Prime's married to the game.
The left back of Chelsea, 26, has three children with his long-term girlfriend-Mateo, Rio and Claudia.
Mateo was diagnosed with autism shortly after Cucurella completed his transmission of £ 65 million from Brighton to Stamford Bridge in 2022.
Now the Spanish couple bravely shared how their son's neurological state influences family life.
Autism – especially in children – can make it difficult to process emotions and to deal with changes, which often appeals to inconsolable tears.
The spectrum of symptoms also includes being over or too little sensitive to senses, having repetitive behavior or struggling socially.
Rodriguez said: “We saw that some things were different from the other children.
“We didn't find too much help from the school and we had our worst months.
“Every day we went together to drop Mateo – I was also pregnant with Rio – and we went back home every day.”

As she said, Cucurella broke into tears.
Cucurella said: “Okay, your child is autistic, but the parents are not ready for this, so we have to learn a lot.
“If we are talking about Mateo, we always …” Before we suffocate and added: “Now ask Claudia, I will come back soon.”
Rodriguez encouraged her friend as “really sensitive” all over the situation.
Rodriguez said on vacation and explained: “They are many changes in the same week.
“It is difficult to be in other places, eating different foods in another timetable, eating different foods, on other plans without school and not therapy. It's hard for him.
“You always have to think about Mateo. Sometimes you want to do some things, but that is not because it is not good for Mateo.
“Vacation is always difficult.”
The emotional video ends with Rodriguez who comforts and hugs Cururella while he keeps crying while holding her hand.
The video – shared by Amazon Prime Video Sport – led to a wave of stylish answers from fans.
One said: “This was so beautiful to watch, Cucurella and his partner Claudia are great parents.”
Another wrote: “Cucu is a strong man!”
A third added: “Mad respect man, now love him even more.”
A fourth typed: “Respect. You are a really extraordinary father. You are doing great.”
And a final user said: “I hope that football fans are more empathetic for football players in the future when they have a bad shape. They are also people and they can go through personal challenges at home.”
Cucurella has enjoyed a wonderful season under Enzo Maresca for Chelsea.
After he helped Spain to win Euro 2024, he proved to be a brilliant reverse full -back – with six goals and four assists.
