
UFC CEO Dana White has revealed that he is grateful that one of the legendary former champions of the promotion has hung the gloves.
MMA hunters in particular often stretch their career to the borders. Some great champions such as Anderson Silva, BJ Penn or Tony Ferguson (Interim) have passed massive losing stripes in the dusk years of their career and never recovered when they pursued a final victory to end everything on a high note.
In the case of two -time Bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz, injuries kept him out of the fighting competition. 'The Dominator' set up a great comeback against TJ Dillashaw in 2016, but his entire UFC career was littered with injuries. Cruz decided to retire after more injuries loved him from his last dance in UFC Seattle.
White is grateful for the news.

Speaking at the UFC 312 Post-Event Presser, White explained how he was “happy” cruz retired by MMA.
'He will have a great career after his [fighting] career, “said White. “I was blown away that he hung in it for so long. I mean, who was more injured than this man? … I'm glad he finally hung it up. “
As a member of the UFC commentary team, Cruz has to stay close to the Octagon, even if he doesn't fight.
More legendary hunter's retirement will be due in 2025
2024-2025 have been cornerstone years for the UFC, and many fan-favorite hunters have met their downfall in the Octagon. As soon as unassailable hunters such as Kamaru Usman, Alexander Volkanovski and Israel Adesanya lose in 2025 in 2025, it is quite possible that more loses they can write off.
