Daniel Cormier and Dana White disagree on whether Arman Tsarukyan should get the next shot at Islam Makhachev
On Saturday night, Islam Makhachev put on a great performance, choking out Renato Moicano in the very first round.
However, the Dagestani's Brazilian opponent was not the man who was originally supposed to play there.
Initially, Arman Tsarukyan was announced as the B-side of the main attraction, with the talented fighter buzzing that he had finally had the opportunity to fight for UFC gold.
Unfortunately, the competitor suffered an injury that left him unable to compete.

For this reason, Dana White insists he will have to earn his way back to the top. However, Daniel Cormier is convinced that the Armenian still deserves his chance at the throne.
In a video uploaded to his YouTube page, 'DC' said: “I believe it should still be Tsarukyan. Because I believe Tsarukyan, even though it's a rematch and even though we know Charles [Oliveira] The next one should be, I still feel that Tsarukyan's size, his capabilities and his skills could pose the biggest problems for Islam Makhachev.”
Daniel Cormier gave Islam Makhachev a special gift for his statement win at UFC 311
After Makhachev's big win, Cormier was so impressed that he felt it necessary to reward his good friend.
He promptly went to the dressing room, where the icon celebrated the result.
With a beaming smile on his face, the former two-weight world champion presented the lightweight King with a great gift.
