Just over a month away from the first UFC Bantamweight defending defense by Merab Dvalishvili, “The next opponent of” The Machine “could already be set.
On UFC 311 on January 18, Merab Dvalishvili made the first defense of his Bantamweight title when he dominated unbeaten phenomenon, Umar Nurmagomedov.
After his dominant victory, Dvalishvili revealed a terrible leg injury that he sustained during his camp, even because he led him to lie to the committee so that they did not get him out of the fight.
Fortunately, however, it is not an injury that keeps him out of operation while he returned to the training shortly afterwards to help Aleksandre Topuria prepare for his UFC debut earlier this month.

Dana White offers an update on the next deficiency defense of Merab Dvalishvili
With Topuria in the hope of increasing the Bantamweight and eventually UFC Gold, just like his brother, Ilia, DvalishVili has admitted that he will leave the title to give Aleksandre a chance.
However, before that becomes a possibility, 'the machine' will probably make a few more defenses of its title, and UFC boss, Dana White has given an important update with regard to his next.
Last Saturday the UFC returned to Seattle and in the main event Song Yadong took a victory over Henry Cejudo, even though it was treated in much controversy.
Because that is an important result in the bantam weight distribution, White has admitted that they are working on making a rematch between Dvalishvili and Sean O'Malley.
'Suga' Sean has not fought since losing the title to Dvalishvili back on UFC 306 and he has recovered from a torn Labrum. Initially, the Georgian champion O'Malley wanted to give an immediate rematch, but the UFC went in a different direction.
“They want to fight each other and I think people want to see it,” said White at the UFC Seattle Post-Fight press conference with regard to Dvalishvili and O'Malley.
Since his loss for the Georgian, O'Malley of Social Media has come in an attempt to concentrate all his energy on his training.
Can Sean O'Malley make the adjustments to beat DvalishVili in a rematch?
In their first meeting at UFC 306, the competition was covered with a lot of controversy as the coach of O'Malley, Tim Welch barked orders at DvalishVili.
Outside the controversy, O'Malley did not submit a very inspiring version and was dominated for the majority of the fight, with Dvalishvili's armed cardio that pays dividends.
'Suga' is generally considered the best striker in the 135LB division and it is not to be denied that he could cause 'the machine' problems with his striking in a rematch.
Although he cannot match Merab's pressure and pace, he must put Dvalishvili on the rear foot instead of spending most of the fight on his bike.
