Dana White labeled Brandon Moreno fight ‘greatest in the division’s history’ after five-round war

When Brandon Moreno Diveson met Figueiredo for the first time at UFC 256, he showed his impenetrable Mexican fighting spirit.

The coming Saturday, Brandon Moreno returns to action when he brings the UFC Fight Night in Mexico City to the buyer and accepts the former title -Uceg.

Last time-out, Moreno bounced back from back-to-back losing when he defeated the rising flight weight candidate, Amir Albazi.

In anticipation of his upcoming fight against 'Astroboy', the Mexican hopes to earn a crack from the aforementioned, Alexandre Pantoja, who may become triple air weight champion.

During his UFC official period, the 31-year-old was involved in some classical fights, with his first fight against DEIVESON Figueiredo as the most memorable.

After he was cut by the promotion during his first Stint in 2016, Moreno was again signed and finally worked into a flying weight shot at UFC 256.

Initially 'The Assassin Baby' was not given much chance and the fight came in as a moderate underdog that regards' Deus da Guerra's' dominance in the division '.

However, Moreno showed early in the fight that he would not be a walkover and his Mexican fighting spirit began to show.

After a narrow opening of two rounds, the Mexican got even more hope in round three when the Brazilian champion was deducted for a low blow.

The last two rounds produced more fireworks with the two flying weights that gave everything in the fight, with nothing that separates them. The fight ended in a draw after a war in five round, which resulted in UFC boss, Dana White labeled it as the 'biggest in the history of the division'.

“It's funny because leading (to the fight that Moreno) told everyone that his hero is Julio Cesar Chavez and that is who he wants (replicate),” White said in the press conference after the fight.

“These two are seriously F— Savages, both boys are absolute wanted, incredible achievements. Tonight we have done a potentially biggest fight ever in the history of the division,” White continued.

Not long before the first meeting of Moreno and Figueiredo, the UFC seriously considered to dissolve the 125LB division.

After the shock outlet of Demetrious Johnson from the promotion, it seemed as if the division was only going in one direction.

Nevertheless, 'The Assassin Baby' and Figueired's competitive rivalry revived an interest in the division with those who fight three more times, making history as the only fight in the history of the promotion that would happen four times.
