Dana White labelled iconic UFC event the ‘best night’ of his career and bowed down to the fighters

On this day in 2010, one of the largest UFC events of all time took place in Las Vegas.

Dana White confirmed plans for a very heavyweight title fight after UFC 116

After the incredible end of UFC 116, Brock Lesnar was already up for a huge heavyweight confrontation in the near future.

During the press conference, Dana White confirmed after the fight that the next challenger for the belt would be the unbeaten Cain Velasquez.

Velasquez had won six-in-one-row to earn his shot before he produced one of the most iconic finishes of all time when he stopped Lesnar in the first round at UFC 121 to win the belt.

Velasquez would shock the belt via the first round knockout in his first title defense against Junior Dos Santos.
