During an appearance on the Pardon My Take Podcast, the UFC president said that there is “no way” that the main event does not justify the $ 50,000 checks.
“It's hard not to talk about this main event,” said White. “Khamzat Chimaev is back and actually fights in the United States.
“That fight will be bad.
“The menu becomes tough … but with all the great undercard fights I would still say that it is impossible that the main event is not the fight of the night,” White added.

Du Plessis is fully planning to become the first to beat Chimaev in MMA, and he has drawn up all his plans after such an achievement.

“I know that the conversations are there between the UFC and South Africa, and the ministers of the sport, and the cities and the arenas – everything is in conversation.
“But as an update about where we are, I have nothing,” Du Plessis added. “That is definitely something that I will get as soon as I am ready after this fight.
“(I am) ensuring that the right people speak with the right people and almost introduce the right people to each other, ensuring that the people who have to let it happen, speak the right people who can let it happen. That is my role.”
