The Combat Sports World continued to come together for the former UFC star Ben Askren who continues to fight against devastating health complications.
Earlier this month, the MMA world was hit with shocking news that former UFC star Ben Askren was in a 'critical condition' after he was hit by a serious Staph infection.
Not long after, Askren's wife gave an update about his condition, stating that he was fighting against serious health problems and thanked the fans for their continuous support.
Daniel Cormier, who has stayed close to 'Funky' since his retirement of the sport, recently gave a slightly more positive update, which states that Askren had been transported to a hospital in his hometown, Wisconsin.

Dana White offers support with Askren that now needs life -saving transplantation
Ben's wife, Amy, stated that he had responded positively to a part of the medication he provided, giving him the power to sometimes open his eyes.
However, it has recently come to light that Askren needs a life -saving lung transplant, while he continues to fight the health complications.
And with that UFC boss Dana White shared a supporting message last Friday with his Instagram story and said: “Click on the link to help Ben Askren.”
The link that White shared with its 10.5 million followers brings fans to a page where they can make a direct donation to the Askren family.
“Ben Askren has spent his life in others, on the mat, in the corner and in the wrestling room,” the website starts telling his story.
“A double NCAA champion, Olympian and beloved coach, Ben has committed himself to growing the sport and inspiring the next generation to chase their potential.
“Today he is confronted with the most difficult fight of his life. Ben urgently needs a life -saving lung transplantation. It is a struggle with which he can not be confronted alone, and now it is time for the wrestling community to gather behind one of himself.
“This is our chance to give back to someone who has given his life to the sport.”
Fans continue to share their support for Askren
Since the devastating news came out, fans continue to share their support for the former star, keeping him in their mind.
“Thankful for Ben's community. Thanks Rudis,” Amy said in a message about her Instagram story and shared the link to the Rudis website.
