Zabit Magomedsharipov will always be considered one of the largest 'Wat-IF' hunters in the UFC history after he decides to retire to retire at 28 years old.
After beating Calvin Kattar in 2019 in what his first main event was in the UFC, Zabit Magomedsharipov announced that he withdrew from MMA to pursue life as a doctor.
Zabit's shock pension left Joe Rogan, together with the majority of the fan base that had advertised him as an almost guaranteed future featherweight champion.
The Russian was best known for its incredibly striking arsenal of unique staircases, but also because it was extremely well completed and had a deadly grab game, so that he had collected one of the few entries of the banana split in UFC history.

Dana White once promised a title fight, now he could make his return
Since his retirement, fans and experts in the MMA world have called Magomedsharipov to make a comeback to the UFC, because he continues to train in sport and even recorded a bit of a career as a coach for his younger brother, Khasan Magomedsharipov.
And at a time when the featherweight division has been left without a champion after the shock title of Ilia Topuria, Zabit could be ready to finally return to the Octagon.
Last Monday, one of the teammates of Zabit posted a video of the 34-year-old shadow boxing, with the caption 'He will soon be back', which caused shock waves and hinted on his potential return.
During his time away from Fighting, UFC boss Dana White tried to seduce him '3 or 4 times', and even offer him an immediate title shot on his return.
Although from now on it is unclear whether the Russian has been re -contacted with a possible return to the promotion, he would join at a perfect moment to the featherweight Division to reclaim the tackling shot offered.
Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes have been set to compete for the empty title on UFC 314 on April 12, but after that there is no clear number one competition to challenge the winner of that fight.
How would Zabit match Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes?
Zabit was always generally considered one of the most unique hunters in the UFC, because he had the opportunity to dominate a fight on the feet or on the floor.
In a matchup against Volkanovski, Zabit would have a large height of height, which could play in his advantage of keeping the former champion out of reach with his long distance station.
Lopes would apparently be more a difficult fight for the Russian forms, because he is explosive with his striking and a lot of punishment.
Despite the fact that, if Zabit's UFC referee is on the hands, it will add some much needy excitement to the 145LB division.
