Dana White recently commented on the positive update of a former hunter about his current status.
Fans and fellow hunters were shocked to learn about the serious health status of Ben Askren who required a double lung transplant to save his life.
Because the 40-year-old was a former member of the UFC selection, Dana White previously sent his support to Askren and his family by sharing a link that people could use to donate money.
For a few weeks his wife and good friends gave updates about his current state and what the next steps seemed to be.
After he had gone through the transplant, Askren was able to talk about it for the first time in an emotional video posted on his Instagram page.

Just like all the supporters of Ben Askren, Dana White was stunned after hearing the former UFC hunter about his current status and what he has experienced in recent weeks.
The former championship and Bellator Star noted that he had no memory of the entire process and shockingly stated that he died four times before he received the double lung transplantation.
In a recent interview on the entire podcast, White was asked if he had seen Askren's video that was finally awake and was able to speak publicly for the first time since he was admitted to the hospital.
The UFC -CEO gave his response to the video and emphasized how the physical condition of the former UFC hunter ran to this fear of health is what he probably saw him coming through the other side.
“I did that, I saw that appearing on my feed. Yes, he doesn't even look the same, it is f— such a journey. You know the kind of form that you need to continue what that f – man just went on? It is incredible.
“I don't know all the details. I know he liked it, what is it? That is – you'll be on your skin … Staph. Yes, I think it started with Staph and Van Staph, it ended f— – somehow in his lungs, of what I understand.”
White also stated that he reached the Van Askren family to support them during this process, although he did not clarify what the outcome was.
“I reached his wife a few times during the … but you know for sure that I was an absolute F – wreck, but it's good to see him waking up.”
