At the UFC 313 on Saturday, Alex Pereira looked to defend his light heavyweight title for the fourth time when he takes on Magomed Ankalaev in the main event.
The night started a pretty hectic start when the promotion announced that fights such as Curtis Blaydes and Chris Gutierrez had been canceled due to last-minute illness' in both camps.
Not only that, but fans started to become restless because the card was delays due to the canceled attacks, which led to complaints.
Nevertheless, the event met the expectation and the main event caused a large shock when Ankalaev took the unanimous decision on Pereira, which caused a major upset.

Dana White responds to the shock of Jalin Turner UFC Pension
In addition to a knockout of the annual candidate of Mauricio Ruffy, the main map also included a shock pension.
After his first round loss against Ignacio Bahamonds, Jalin Turner took out his gloves and indicated that he withdrew shockingly from the sport just 29 years old.
After taking some time to consider his decision, Turner revealed the exact details about his retirement in an interview after the fight, stating that he had considered it since his loss at UFC 300 in April.
Turner has had a difficult time in the Octagon lately, after he had only won one victory in his last five fights.
Nevertheless, the former lightweight contenders pension came as a huge shock, given that he is only 29 years old and was once considered a dark horse in the lightweight division because of its unique style.
During the UFC 313 Post-Fight Press Conference, UFC boss, Dana White shared his thoughts about Turner's decision.
“Yes, he shouted through the cage against me and I said,” Yes, okay, “I said the truck that he was retiring and then I think someone spoke to him tonight in the Octagon, I don't know if it was an Belal (Muhammad) or who it was,” Dana began to explain. “
“Yes, you know how I think about that, usually when you start (consider retiring), I rarely don't even agree with anyone if they feel they want to retire,” the boss continued.
What is the next step for Jalin Turner after UFC pension?
Turner was once arranged under the top 10 at lightweight and because of his abnormally large frame he apparently stood like a tough puzzle for all his opponents.
The Alum of the Contender Series of Dana White does not fully know which path he goes down after his retirement, but the 29-year-old has admitted that he will probably not wander too far away from the fighting game.
We often see that retired hunters get different opportunities from the UFC in their career after the fight, with Paul Felder, Michael Bisping, Dominick Cruz and Anthony Smith to name a few who still work with the promotion in comment and analysis.
