Dana White reveals if he’d trust Conor McGregor or Jon Jones to headline UFC White House card

Can Conor McGregor and Jon Jones spearhead UFC in the White House?

There is a short list of UFC stars that can have a card on the Witte House lawn. The idea that President Donald Trump spoke in July takes shape for the 250th birthday of the US on July 4, 2026.

Conor McGregor, the largest star that the sport has ever seen, and Jon Jones, perhaps the greatest hunter of all time, have both thrown their names in the hat to fight at the historical event a year of it.

Of course Jones recently retired in June, to return to the drug test pool weeks later. In the meantime, McGregor has not fought for more than four years and comes from his first fight against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 due to a toe injury.

UFC boss Dana White was recently asked about the former two-division champions that possibly fought in the White House.

Dana White admits that he is a 'little more skeptical' about Jon Jones than Conor McGregor

On Thursday, White repeated that Jones was back in the drug test pool, but said they are not talking about fighting for him 'now'.

Would White trust one of them to head the map of the White House in a year?

“I trust Conor,” replied White Jim Rome.

'Conor McGregor never has, never [pulled out of a fight] Unless he is seriously injured, “White went on.

“This man has always delivered.

“Jon, I'm a bit skeptical about it,” said White about Jones.

Jones went almost 600 days without uniting the heavyweight titles against Tom Aspinall. Instead of uniting the title against the interim champion, Jones fought against a 42-year-old Stipe Miocic in his pension fight on UFC 309 in November, so he did not retire up to seven months later.

There is now only one American champion in the UFC

Jon Jones was the last American man to hold a UFC title.

That does not mean that he will be the last one, but for the first time in a while the UFC is just one American champion.

Kayla Harrison of Ohio rules the Bantamweight Division for Women as champion after beating Julianna Pena in the Co-Main event of UFC 316 in June.

After the fight, Harrison wrapped the UFC belt around President Donald Trump Cageside.

The two-time Olympic gold medal winner and PFL Lightweight Champion can have its place reserved on the white house card in a potentially super fight with Amanda Nunes.
