Dana White reveals what’s next for Israel Adesanya after UFC Hall of Fame induction

Israel Adesanya has been set to take a well-deserved break before returning to the UFC-Outhoek.

The former dual UFC champion Middleweight suffered a shock loss of the second round KO loss against Nassourdine Imavov in Saudi Arabia last weekend to strech his Windless Run to three.

Before Dricus du Plessis Sean Strickland defeated in their rematch for his old belt on UFC 312, 'The Last Stylebender' was initiated into the UFC Hall of Fame for his interim Title Fight War with Kelvin Gastelum in 2019.

Dana White offers update on Israel Adesanya

Dana White answered questions from Assmenbled Media members in the aftermath of UFC 312.

The UFC boss gave an update about Adesanya after conducting a cagesside conversation with the ex-camp.

“We talked tonight, he will take some free time and relax a little,” said White.

The MMA Mogul also discussed his decision to set up Adesanya in the UFC Hall of Fame Fight Wing.

White added: “What is strange about it is that this stuff was decided a long time ago, and then we end here, so it became perfect.

“He didn't know why he was here. When he came to me and sat with me, he said, “What is it?”

'I have something like' nothing. I just want to hang a bit with you '. And then he was hit with it.

“So, well deserved, and I'm really happy for him.”

Israel Adesanya responds to his induction of the Hall of Fame

Adesanya gave his immediate thoughts about joining the Hall of Fame to ESPN MMA Backsage on UFC 312.

“It was certainly a surprise,” he said.

“I want to thank Kelvin because it is not only I am, two are needed for Tango, and he is a great dance partner.

“It means a lot. First, when they said, I thought: “I'm too young.” But when they said it was before the fight, I thought: 'Oh, that was an immediate classic' so I respect it.

The 35-year-old confirmed White suggestion that he will take a small break of fighting.

Yet it seems certain that his UFC career will continue and he will return to the Octagon in 2025.

“Just celebrate with the team,” Adesanya said when he was asked what is for him.

“Help the boys prepare for their fighting.

“Yes, just go back to the drawing table and keep working.”
