Dana White shuts down legend’s take that Khamzat Chimaev becoming UFC champion ‘would be a disaster’

Dana White does not agree with the UFC legend who has submitted a shock claim about Khamzat Chimaev who became the middleweight champion.

The coming Saturday, Khamzat Chimaev finally fights for UFC Gold when he takes on Drus Du Plessis for the middleweight title in the UFC 319 Main Event.

Only a few days from their fight, the two middle weights came across each other during their obligations and fans noted that 'Borz' towered above the champion.

Nevertheless, Du Plessis claimed that it might be the corner that was filming the camera, making Chimaev look so much bigger than he was.

Dana White closes the claim of UFC Legend about Khamzat Chimaev

In recent years, the Chechen has proved somewhat unreliable for the promotion, so that they have been withdrawn from different fights due to continuous health problems.

However, he turned into his coaching team and apparently suffered the problems he had.

Nevertheless, UFC legend Din Thomas claimed that Chimaev will be a UFC champion would be a 'disaster' for the promotion, given his tendency to pull out of fighting.

The claim was a whole shock for fans, given that Chimaev is one of the biggest stars in sport and is still an undefeated record.

And with that UFC boss Dana White closed the claim of Thomas just a few days from the main event in Chicago.

“I am really enthusiastic about the fight, I mean, the main event should be incredible, and probably the fight of the night and we have not been to Chicago for a long time,” said White Series of Dana White last Tuesday.

“No (I'm not worried that Chimaev will be an inactive champion),” he replied.

Du Plessis claims that Chimaev doubts himself for UFC 319

If you are at a huge main event, there have been doubts about Chimaev and whether his cardio will stand in what could possibly be a five -round fight.

'Still Knocks', however, believes that even Chimaev doubts herself, and says that they both reached the UFC at the same time, but he has much more experience against a better opposition.
