Dana White’s right hand man and UFC matchmaker offered surprising gift after awarding knockout artist first post-fight bonus

The Octagon made its long -awaited return to Iowa on Saturday evening, where an exciting addition to the selection earned its first performance of the night bonus.

Despite the main card opener who delivers an entertaining three-round competition where Mason Jones defeated Jeremy Stephens, there was no fight in the night bonus at UFC des Moines.

Instead, four bonuses were published on the most impressive displays with Cory Sandhagen and Reinier de Ridder, both of whom received an extra 50k for their victories in the main and co-limea event.

Two other extra checks were published for Prelim hunters in which Quang Le and Azamat Bekoev were rewarded for their impressive finishes.

The right handman of Dana White called Bekoev next to UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard to give him the news and the Russian had already prepared something to give back.

Azamat Bekoev asks where Hunter Campbell and Mick Maynard are, so that he can give them a traditional Russian dagger

In a video posted by Azamat Bekoev on Instagram, he showed his response to receiving the news that he had earned a performance of the night bonus.

The 29-year-old was incredibly grateful to both Hunter Campbell and Mick Maynard for granting this extra payment after he had put Ryan Loder in the opening round.

“Really not! Thank you, thank both. I really like to be with you.”

Bekoev debuted earlier this year in the Octagon, where he stopped Zach Reese at UFC 311 after he joined the promotion as the former LFA Middleweight Champion.

In the second half of the video, the Russian revealed that he had something to give Campbell or Maynard in exchange for the bonus.

Bekoev then held up what seems to be a traditional dagger that is often worn by the people of his home country and asks for the locations of the key figures of the UFC so that he could bring it to them.

Maynard joked by telephone that he might have a problem to get it back with him.

“I have something for you, can I see you? Where are you? Every real man must have this. Let me know where you are. See you soon.”

Azamat Bekoev calls on 'Turtle Ninja Man' Torrez Finney after impressive knockout victory

After winning the eighth knockout victory of his career, Azamat Bekoev Torrez Finney mentioned as a potential opponent for his next Octagon outing.

The Russian was able to store Ryan Loder, an accomplished wrestler, and now he wants to do the same with the heavily criticized Finney.

'I'm going to fight with Turtle Ninja Man, Torrez Finney. He is [a] Boring hunter and [I] Can make a favor for [the] UFC and beat him up and he never comes back. '

Bekoev also mentioned Jack Hermansson, who has not entered the Octagon since his victory over Joe Pyfer in February 2024, as a potential opponent.
